Fine art print materials that you can select:

In the product dropdown selection you can select your prefered size and material. You can choose your your favorite size and material among the following options:

  • Acrylic glass print: The print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes referenced as a an art print on plexiglass, will turn your favorite artwork into lovely décor. Above all, it is a great alternative to dibond and canvas fine art prints. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your custom art print against light and external influences for up to 60 years.
  • Canvas: The canvas print is a printed canvas stretched on a wood stretcher. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. This means, it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. Therefore, canvas prints are suitable for any type of wall.
  • Aluminium dibond print: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding effect of depth - for a modern impression and non-reflective surface. A direct Aluminium Dibond Print is your perfect introduction to fine art prints with aluminum. For our Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the favorite work of art onto the aluminium composite surface.
  • Poster on canvas material: The poster is a UV printed canvas paper with a slightly rough surface finish, which reminds the original version of the masterpiece. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm round about the print to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.

Legal disclaimer: We do everything in order to describe the art products as clearly as possible and to display them visually in our shop. Nonetheless, the tone of the printed materials and the print result can differ slightly from the presentation on your screen. Depending on your screen settings and the nature of the surface, color pigments can unfortunately not be printed as exactly as the digital version. Since all our art reproductions are printed and processed by hand, there may also be minor differences in the size and exact position of the motif.

Description by the museum's website (© Copyright - by Rijksmuseum - Rijksmuseum)

According to Toorop, the ‘Old Garden of Sorrows’ is the place where the Soul, here personified as a woman, resides temporarily prior to death. She walks through the walled garden, terrified. Death is symbolized by the skulls strewn on the ground around her and near the dilapidated garden gate. At the right, mourning phantom-like figures support the fountain of tears.
