What does the curator team of the The Metropolitan Museum of Art write about the work of art painted by Simon Denis? (© Copyright - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)

From the road that follows the course of the river Aniene east of Tivoli, near Rome, the distinctive twin campanili, or bell towers, of the church of San Pietro and the village of Vicovaro set against the surrounding hills look much the same today as they did in Denis’s time. This sketch was adapted for the background of a composite landscape painting that is dated 1797 (private collection).

  • The canvas print: A canvas direct print is a printed cotton canvas stretched on a wooden frame. In addition to that, a printed canvas generates a soft, warm ambience. Hanging a canvas print: The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy and straightforward to hang up your Canvas print without the support of additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for any type of wall.
  • Poster print (canvas material): A poster print is a printed sheet of cotton canvas paper with a granular surface finish. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin between 2-6cm around the print motif, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): A glossy acrylic glass print, which is often referenced as a UV print on plexiglass, changes your favorite original artwork into magnificient décor. Moreover, it forms a distinct alternative option to dibond and canvas art prints. The work of art is custom-made with state-of-the-art UV direct printing technology. It makes vivid and sharp colors. The real glass coating protects your chosen fine art print against light and external influences for many years.
  • Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with an outstanding effect of depth - for a modern look and a non-reflective surface. The Aluminium Dibond Print is the best start to fine art prints produced on aluminum. The colors of the print are luminous, the details of the print are crisp. The UV print on aluminium is the most popular entry-level product and is a truly modern way to display art reproductions, since it puts all of the viewer’s focus on the artwork.
