Still life with fruit and vegetables in the background Christ at Emmaus. In the foreground of a kitchen are all kinds of vegetables (asparagus, broad beans, peas, carrots, artichokes, cucumbers, beets, pumpkin, green cabbages, onions and turnips) and fruit (apples, cherries, gooseberries, apricots, pears, berries, raspberries and grapes), displayed in baskets. In the kitchen are two girls working. Behind it is retrieved by curtains to see the biblical scene.

The masterpiece was created by the artist Floris van Schooten. Besides, this work of art is included in the collection of Rijksmuseum, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day.
