Important legal note: We try our utmost to depict our products as precisely as it is possible and to showcase them visually. Nonetheless, the pigments of the printing material and the print result can diverge marginally from the representation on your monitor. Depending on the screen settings and the condition of the surface, colors may not be printed as exactly as the digital version. In view of the fact that the art prints are printed and processed manually, there may as well be slight differences in the motif's size and exact position.

These small oil sketches by Van Dyck were probably painted around 1630. They derive from similar studies by Rubens, and would have been used in Van Dyck's studio as models for equestrian portraits or historical and religious pictures.

The version of the piece of art was painted with the size: 10 1/8 x 8 7/8 in (25,7 x 22,5 cm) and was produced with the techinque oil on wood. Anthony van Dyck was a translator, author, dramaturge, painter, theater director, etcher, whose style was primarily Baroque. The Dutch painter was born in 1599 in Antwerp, Antwerpen province, Flanders, Belgium and passed away at the age of 42 in the year 1641 in London, Greater London, England, United Kingdom.
