The 16th century painting "Portrait of a Gentleman" was made by the master Pietro Marescalchi. The version of the artwork measures the size: 115 × 95 cm (45 1/4 × 37 3/8 in). Oil on canvas was applied by the European artist as the medium of the artwork. Nowadays, this piece of art forms part of the collection of Art Institute Chicago, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe. We are pleased to state that the public domain masterpiece is included with courtesy of Art Institute Chicago. Creditline of the artwork: Gift of Mrs. Lillian S. Timken (Mrs. William S. Timken). Besides, the alignment is in portrait format with an image ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width.
