Bernhard Strigel belonged to a family of artists that flourished after the middle of the fifteenth century in the town of Memmingen, near the Swiss border. In the first two decades of the sixteenth century he produced a number of portraits of ladies in extravagant dress positioned before a decorative brocade hanging with an open window view out to a landscape. The young woman in this (probably independent) portrait has not been identified, but her elaborate costume, with its imported fabrics and embroideries and ostentatious jewelry, places her among the elite echelons of society.

Order your preferred item material

For every fine art print we offer different materials & sizes. In order match your personal requirements perfectly, you can choose among the following product customization options:

  • Print on acrylic glass (with real glass coating): The acrylic glass print, often labelled as a UV print on plexiglass, transforms your favorite original artwork into marvellous décor. In addition to that, it offers a viable alternative to aluminium and canvas art prints. Your own copy of the artwork is made with modern UV printing machines. The special effect of this are vivid, deep colors. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your custom fine art print against light and heat for many years.
  • The canvas print: The UV printed canvas material applied on a wood frame. A canvas makes the sculptural effect of three-dimensionality. What is more, canvas print produces a cosy and warm effect. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy to hang your Canvas print without any wall-mounts. Hence, a canvas print is suitable for all types of walls.
  • Poster print on canvas material: The poster print is a UV printed canvas paper with a slightly roughened finish on the surface, which reminds the actual version of the artwork. The poster is ideally used for putting the art copy with the help of a custom-made frame. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2 - 6cm round about the artwork to facilitate the framing.
  • Aluminium dibond print: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with a true depth effect. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your excellent start to replicas on aluminum. The bright & white parts of the artwork shimmer with a silk gloss, however without glare.
