• Canvas print: A canvas print, which should not be mistaken with a painting on a canvas, is a digital copy printed on an industrial printer. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.

In the course of his long and successful career, Aert Schouman took a large number of pupils under his wing. One of them here imitated the kind of depictions his teacher made. Schouman’s mastery becomes evident when the two works are compared. The leaves in this unsigned watercolour are somewhat static and stiffly painted, and the colouring of the work as a whole is also much less expressive.

This over 270 years old artpiece was created by the painter Unknown. Nowadays, this work of art can be viewed in in the collection of Rijksmuseum, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day.
