Sodoma was trained in Lombardy, where he absorbed Leonardo da Vinci’s ideas about the use of contrasting physiognomies for heightened dramatic effect. Subsequently, he worked in Rome, where the frescoes of Raphael left a deep impression (the two artists painted for the same patron). This late work encapsulates the grandly expressive goals that were so influential on painting throughout Europe. The turbaned figure is Pilate, who presents the resigned but dignified Christ to the viewer as an object of contemplation.

Choose your desired material
The product dropdown menu gives you the opportunity to pick a material and a sizeaccording to your individual preferences. The following sizes and materials are the options we offer you for individualization:
- The poster print on canvas material: The poster is a UV printed canvas with a slight surface structure, that reminds the actual version of the work of art. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm round about the print, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
- Aluminium dibond: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an impressive depth effect. The non-reflective surface creates a contemporary look. The bright parts of the original artwork shimmer with a silky gloss but without the glow.
- Canvas print: The printed canvas, not to be confused with a canvas painting, is an image applied on a canvas. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight. That means, it is quite simple to hang the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. Hence, a canvas print is suitable for all kinds of walls.
- Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): A glossy print on acrylic glass, often labelled as a print on plexiglass, changes your favorite original into brilliant wall decoration. The artwork will be printed with the help of modern UV print machines. Our acrylic glass protects your custom art print against sunlight and external influences for many years.
