Selectable materials
In the dropdown menu right next to the article you can select your favorite size and material. The following sizes and materials are the options we offer you for individualization:
- Poster (canvas material): The poster print is a printed flat cotton canvas paper with a fine surface structure. The print poster is suited for putting your art replica using a customized frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin between 2 - 6cm around the print in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
- Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): These are metal prints on alu dibond with an impressive depth effect. For our Aluminium Dibond print, we print the artwork on the surface of the white-primed aluminum. The colors are bright and luminous, the fine details appear crisp and clear. The direct print on aluminium is the most popular entry-level product and is a modern way to showcase fine art reproductions, since it draws focus on the replica of the artwork.
- Canvas print: The printed canvas, which shall not be mistaken with an artwork painted on a canvas, is an image applied directly on canvas. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which means that it is quite simple to hang up the Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. Because of thatcanvas prints are suited for any type of wall.
- The glossy acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): An acrylic glass print, which is often referred to as a print on plexiglass, transforms the original into wall décor. With an acrylic glass art print sharp contrasts plus smaller artwork details become more visible thanks to the fine tonal gradation. Our plexiglass protects your custom art print against light and external influences for up to six decades.
Important information: We try everythig possible to depict the products as accurate as it is possible and to display them visually on the respective product detail pages. Nonetheless, the colors of the print products, as well as the imprint might differ marginally from the image on your device's screen. Depending on the settings of your screen and the nature of the surface, not all color pigments are printed as realistically as the digital version. In view of the fact that all art reproductions are processed and printed by hand, there might as well be minor differences in the motif's size and exact position.
Artwork description by Belvedere (© - Belvedere - Belvedere)
Gustave Courbet painted this lonely place on a tree-covered and pierced by a creek rocky landscape about forty times. Partly because of the enormous demand - the Paris realized even at that time that the pristine nature was a relaxing contrast to their everyday world - on the other hand, because Courbet studied the different lighting effects of different times and seasons of this design. Comparisons of individual variations show that Courbet quite slavishly nature template was not required but this changed after his respective interest: The image of Belvedere shows "The Black Hole" (the name of the place shown) mainly as a stream, that of trees is so shaded that the bright light of a summer day, as you can see him right up through a hole in the forest cover, not trickle through to the bottom. The light is reflected from the smooth rock wall left, but the water is in the dark. This contrast of light and shadow shapes the special atmosphere in this picture. [Dietrun Otten, 2003]
