This lounge of the Hotel Wendel is characteristic of the interior of a rich industrialist from the Second Empire by side without arrogance precious eighteenth century furniture and comfortable seating, Chinese porcelain and familiar objects. The hotel was built in 1864 by architect Storez in a style inspired neo-Louis XVI, for Baron Alexis de Wendel. Its strategic position at the bedside of the Church of the Trinity, symbolizes the power of this famous family of Lorraine iron masters, related to industrial development and political life of France in the eighteenth to the twentieth century.
