The scene shows Hans of Iceland that has killed Toric Belfast, Munkholm musketeer, so he just stab the giant mountain Kole, arrested in his place, and refers to the text: "And these words were barely -they pronounced mat qu'écartant his coat, he had plunged his dagger into the heart of the musketeer, and threw the body to the feet géant.Un cry of terror and horror arose; the soldiers guarding the giant recoiled. The little man, quick as lightning, rushed to the mountain discovered, and a new stab, he dropped it on the body of the soldier. "
In the volume "A Novel," published in 1889, the complete works of Victor Hugo of the National Edition by Emile Testard and Co. Albert Demarest was given all of the illustration "Hans of Iceland" , or 50 thumbnail title for each chapter (with the exception of two for which the board inset serves as a frontispiece) and the conclusion and the 5 etchings inset in full screen.
