This 19th century masterpiece The Harvesters was made by the French artist Léon Augustin Lhermitte in 1889. The beyond 130 year old original was painted with the size: 52,9 × 77,3 cm (20 13/16 × 30 7/16 in). Oil on canvas was used by the painter as the technique for the painting. The artwork's inscription is the following: "inscribed lower left: L. Lhermitte". It is included in the Art Institute Chicago's collection, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe.
