This 19th century masterpiece with the title Leopold the Holy rejects the imperial crown was created by the Austrian painter Karl von Blaas. The beyond 160 years old original has the following size - 30 x 84,5 cm - frame dimensions: 42 x 97 x 6 cm and was made with the techinque oil on canvas. Today, this artpiece can be viewed in in the Belvedere's digital art collection. Additionally, the artwork has the following creditline: transfer from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna in 1927. Karl von Blaas was a male mosaicist, painter, autobiographer, whose artistic style can be attributed primarily to Historicism. The Austrian painter was born in 1815 in Nauders, Tyrol, Austria and deceased at the age of 79 in 1894.
