Rutger Jan Schimmelpenninck, the Dutch ambassador in Paris, commissioned Knip to make a series of paint-ings of the Batavian embassy, the Hôtel de Beauharnais. This is the view from the embassy, looking at the Palais des Tuileries. An optical telegraph is visible at right atop a gabled roof, while another one can be seen in the far right distance, on Montmartre. Such enabled contact between Paris and the Netherlands.

Choose a material option

For every fine art print we offer different sizes and materials. The following options are available for individualization:

  • Printed poster (canvas material): The Artprinta poster print is a printed flat cotton canvas with a slightly roughened surface structure. The printed poster is designed for placing your fine art print with the help of a custom frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm around the work of art, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): The print on acrylic glass, often named a print on plexiglass, will change your favorite artwork into wonderful décor and is a viable alternative option to canvas and aluminidum dibond fine art replicas. With an acrylic glass art print sharp contrasts and small painting details will be more identifiable with the help of the fine gradation. Our plexiglass protects your chosen fine art print against sunlight and heat for many decades.
  • Aluminium dibond (metal print): An Aluminium Dibond print is a print with a true depth. The white & bright components of the original work of art shine with a silky gloss but without any glare. This direct UV print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most popular entry-level products and is an extremely modern way to display art reproductions, because it puts 100% of the viewer’s focus on the artwork.
  • The canvas print: A UV printed canvas material stretched on a wooden stretcher frame. A printed canvas of your favorite masterpiece will provide you with the unique chance of transforming your fine art print into a large size artpiece as you would see in a gallery. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy and straightforward to hang up your Canvas print without any wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for any kind of wall.
