The 17th century masterpiece with the title Small study of the head of a sick woman was painted by Rembrandt van Rijn in 1645. Nowadays, the artwork is in the the Rijksmuseum's digital art collection, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. Rembrandt van Rijn was a male painter of Dutch nationality, whose artistic style was primarily Baroque. The Dutch painter was born in the year 1606 in Leiden and deceased at the age of 63 in the year 1669.
