The more than 230 year old masterpiece was made by the artist Jacobus Buys in 1785. Furthermore, the artpiece is in the the digital collection of Rijksmuseum, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. Jacobus Buys was a painter from the Netherlands, whose style was mainly Rococo. The artist lived for a total of 77 years, born in the year 1724 in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands and deceased in 1801.
