The 130 years old original version of the painting was painted with the dimensions: height: 47 cm width: 59 cm | height: 18,5 in width: 23,2 in and was painted with the medium oil on panel. The artpiece has the following inscription: signed and dated: A.F. Heijligers. 1884. What is more, the piece of art belongs to the digital collection of Mauritshuis. With courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague (licensed - public domain). In addition, the artpiece has the creditline: Captain William E. Gray; his gift to the Gray Art Gallery and Museum (founded by him), Hartlepool, 24 August 1920; sale London, Christie’s, 14 April 1967, lot unknown (as Gustaaf Heyligers); purchased, 1976. What is more, the alignment of the digital reproduction is landscape with an image ratio of 4 : 3, meaning that the length is 33% longer than the width.
