Artwork description as provided by Nationalmuseum Stockholm (© - Nationalmuseum Stockholm - www.nationalmuseum.se)
This painting was one of few modern French paintings purchased by the Nationalmuseum at the turn of the 19th century. This work had enjoyed a great deal of attention when exhibited in Paris in 1902 and was acquired that same year for Sweden, probably due to its similarities with contemporary Nordic evocative painting. The artist has portrayed a family dinner at the home of his wife’s parents in Brittany – a part of France where he found many of his subjects. The woman to the right in the foreground is Simon’s wife Jeanne. Next to her is the artist himself, with their daughter on his knee

Order your desired product material
In the dropdown selection next to the product offering you can select the material and sizeaccording to your personal preferences. Thus, we allow you to choose among the following options:
- Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an outstanding depth. For the Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the selected work of art onto the aluminium white-primed surface. The bright components of the artpiece shimmer with a silk gloss, however without the glare.
- Canvas: The UV printed canvas applied on a wood stretcher frame. A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang the Canvas print without any wall-mounts. Therefore, canvas prints are suited for all kinds of walls.
- The poster print on canvas material: Our poster print is a UV printed sheet of canvas with a nice finish on the surface. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6cm around the artwork in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
- Acrylic glass print: The print on acrylic glass, often denoted as a print on plexiglass, will change the artwork into brilliant décor. Further, the acrylic fine art print forms a great alternative option to canvas and dibond art prints.
