Additional information on the original artwork by The Cleveland Museum of Art (© - The Cleveland Museum of Art - The Cleveland Museum of Art)
This portrait of an unknown man includes a detailed representation of a rapier, a sword worn with civilian dress and used in duels. On the basis of style, the rapier in this painting belonged to a distinctive group of sword hilts decorated between about 1570 and 1600. It was probably made in northern Italy. The son of a Piedmontese architect, Tanzio spent most of his life in northern Italy, but worked briefly in Rome and southern Italy, mainly Naples. These trips brought him under the influence of Caravaggio, whose dramatic realism Tanzio integrated into his own elegant, decorative style.

The product dropdown menu gives you the possibility to choose a material and a size of your choice. Choose among the following product options now to match your preferences in size and material:
- Printed poster (canvas material): A poster print is a printed sheet of cotton canvas with a slightly roughened finish on the surface, that resembles the original artwork. It is optimally suited for putting the art copy with a special frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2 - 6cm around the painting, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
- Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): The print on acrylic glass, often denoted as a an art print on plexiglass, makes your original artwork into home décor and makes a great alternative to aluminium and canvas fine art replicas. The great benefit of a plexiglass art print is that contrasts and granular color details become identifiable because of the fine gradation of the picture. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your custom fine art print against light and external influences for decades.
- The canvas print: A UV printed canvas stretched on a wooden frame. A canvas creates the distinctive impression of three-dimensionality. Canvas Prints have the advantage of being low in weight, which means that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without any wall-mounts. Because of thatcanvas prints are suited for any kind of wall.
- Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an impressive depth effect, which creates a fashionable impression by having a surface structure, which is not reflective. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your best introduction to the sophisticated world of art replicas with aluminum. The bright & white parts of the artwork shine with a silky gloss but without any glare.
