One of twenty-two panels (14.114.1–.22) forming the ceiling from the Palace of Pandolfo Petrucci, called Il Magnifico, Siena. The general distribution and partition of the ceiling appears to derive from that of a vaulted and painted ceiling in Nero's Golden House in Rome. Many of the individual figures also seem to derive from antique works of art– especially sarcophagi.

Product explanation

This classic art artwork was made by Pinturicchio in 1509. The version of the artpiece measures the size: Diameter: 19 3/8 in (49,2 cm) and was crafted on the medium fresco, transferred to canvas and attached to wood panels. This work of art can be viewed in in the art collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. With courtesy of: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Rogers Fund, 1914 (public domain license). The creditline of the artpiece is: Rogers Fund, 1914. In addition to that, the alignment of the digital reproduction is square and has an aspect ratio of 1 : 1, meaning that the length is equal to the width. Pinturicchio was a painter, whose art style was primarily Early Renaissance. The painter was born in 1454 and deceased at the age of 59 in the year 1513.
