Louviers The island was bought by the city of Paris in 1730 as a repository to firewood, docking boats and landing for driftwood. A boom was built between the island and the island Louviers St. Louis to hold water font from winter ice. In 1843, by filling the small arms of the "Mail", the island Louviers was attached to the right bank of Paris, the river arm then became the Boulevard Morland.
