The sitter was born 1804 in Česká Lípa (Česká Lipa). She was the daughter of Ernest Proch, an administrative official and the eldest daughter of the famous musician Vinzenz Maschek (1755 - 1831) from Prague. Friederike's younger brother Heinrich Proch (1809 -?), Violinist and composer, the most successful students of the composer and music teacher Joseph Benes was. Joseph and Friederike probably married Friederike 1828. The painter Eduard Ender was an artist, whose art style can primarily be classified as Historicism. The Austrian artist was born in the year 1822 in Rome and passed away at the age of 61 in the year 1883.
