Exhibited at the Salon of 1831, nº368. The model, Jean-Georges Farcy, writer and journalist with the Globe, was very close to Colin painter and he had borrowed weapons to participate in combat. He was killed July 29, 1830 at the corner of Rue de Rohan. This posthumous portrait shown in the artist's studio when he takes up arms and trampling Charles ordinances feet X.
