  • Aluminium dibond print: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with an impressive depth effect, which creates a modern look with a surface structure, which is not reflective. The bright and white sections of the artwork shine with a silky gloss but without glow. Colors are bright and luminous, fine details are clear and crisp, and the print has a a matte appearance you can literally feel. This direct UV print on aluminium is the most popular entry-level product and is an extremely modern way to display art prints, as it draws attention on the artwork.
  • The poster print (canvas material): A poster is a UV printed canvas paper with a fine surface finish. The poster is designed for framing the art print using a personal frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the print motif, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • The glossy acrylic glass print: The acrylic glass print, often referred to as a print on plexiglass, will turn your favorite original into stunning décor and is a viable alternative option to canvas and aluminidum dibond fine art prints. Our acrylic glass protects your selected art print against sunlight and external influences for decades.
  • Canvas print: The canvas print, not to be confused with a canvas painting, is a digital image applied directly on canvas. A canvas produces a cosy and appealing appearance. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang up the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. Hence, canvas prints are suitable for any type of wall.

Homer’s subject was inspired by a sentimental poem popular at the time, in which a Civil War soldier carves a wooden pipe and daydreams of the time when the conflict will end so that he can return home. The painting depicts two volunteers for the Union Army who sport their regiment’s highly colorful uniforms, a design soon discovered as impractical due to its ability to be spotted by sharpshooters. The museum acquired this work during World War II. It seems likely that the painting’s imagery was viewed as especially significant for its wartime audience.
