The table came to the museum as "Portrait of Fabre d'Eglantine" by Laneuville. This is actually a pastiche made from two portraits of David, the head and chest are taken from the "self-portrait" in the Uffizi and installation of legs "Portrait of Mr. Sériziat" kept in Louvre.
