Edvard Perséus verkade som konstnär med inriktning mot historimåleriet, men sitt viktigaste avtryck i konsthistorien gjorde han som lärare i den egna målarskolan som bland annat förknippas med studievistelser på slottet Gripsholm. Bland hans elever fanns Carl Larsson, Richard Bergh, Karl Nordström, Eugène Jansson, Ernst Josephson och Nils Kreuger. Motivet för den här studien har inte gått att identifera men det är tänkbart att den kommit till under de åtta år som Perséus vistades utomlands.

The artwork called City View with port. Study was made by Edvard Perséus. The original had the following size - Height: 19 cm (7,4 ″); Width: 32,2 cm (12,6 ″) Framed: Height: 32 cm (12,5 ″); Width: 45,5 cm (17,9 ″); Depth: 5,5 cm (2,1 ″). On top of that, alignment is in landscape format and has an image ratio of 16 : 9, which means that the length is 78% longer than the width.

• Metal (aluminium dibond print): Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an impressive effect of depth - for a modern look and a non-reflective surface. For the Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print your artwork right onto the surface of the aluminum.
