Isabey, the foremost seascape painter of his generation, sketched in Normandy throughout the 1850s. This dramatic scene, composed as if witnessed from the edge of the surf, was probably painted in his studio based on memory. It evokes the Romantic milieu of the artist's formative years, when he was influenced by Gericault, Delacroix, and Bonington.

Selectable materials
We offer a range of different materials and sizes for every product. In order match your personal requirements perfectly, you can choose among the following product customization options:
- Canvas print: A printed canvas applied on a wooden stretcher frame. Hanging your canvas print: The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which means that it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without the help of additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for all kinds of walls.
- Printed poster (canvas material): The Artprinta poster is a printed canvas paper with a slight finish on the surface. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm round about the print in order to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
- Aluminium dibond: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print with an outstanding effect of depth - for a modern look and a non-reflective surface structure. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the best introduction to art reproductions with aluminum. The bright parts of the original artwork shimmer with a silk gloss but without glare. Colors are luminous and bright, fine details appear crisp and clear, and you can truly feel the matte appearance of the fine art print.
- Print on acrylic glass (with real glass coating): A glossy print on acrylic glass, often denoted as a plexiglass print, will transform your favorite original artwork into amazing décor. What is more, it is a great alternative to canvas or aluminium dibond fine art replicas. Your favorite artwork is custom-made with modern UV print technology. This has the image effect of intense, sharp color tones. With an acrylic glass fine art print contrasts and granular details become visible with the help of the very subtle gradation in the print. The acrylic glass protects your selected fine art print against sunlight and heat for many more years.
