The 18th century masterpiece was painted by the rococo painter Jacobus Buys in 1780. Besides, the work of art belongs to the Rijksmuseum's collection, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. Jacobus Buys was a painter, whose style can primarily be classified as Rococo. The painter was born in the year 1724 in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands and deceased at the age of 77 in 1801.
