Background information on the artwork, which has the title Kinderbacchanal
The classic art piece of art was created by the painter Joseph Hauzinger in the year 1781. The 230 years old version of the artpiece measures the size: 100 x 150 cm. Oil on canvas was applied by the artist as the technique for the artwork. Signed lower left: J. Hauzinger Pi [nxit] is the painting's original inscription. Joseph Hauzinger was a painter, whose artistic style can be classified as Baroque. The Baroque painter was born in the year 1728 in Vienna and deceased at the age of 58 in the year 1786 in Vienna.

The painting was purchased in January 1781 to equip the picture gallery in the Belvedere and served as Supraporte above the entrance to the department of contemporary painting. Joseph Hauzinger has used for this presentation is a relief of Francois Duquesnoy in the Villa Doria Pamphili in Rome from 1626 as a model. [Georg Lechner, 2013]
