The St. Mark's Square in Venice, during the flood of 1863, view from the Clock Tower. On the left, the Basilica San Marco topped the Quadriga bronze, right before which the Sansovino library banners flutter in the wind. In the foreground a gondola through the flooded square, further, we see the Doges Palace.
Felix Ziem discovered Venice in 1842 and it will carry twenty stays that will inspire her many works.
