Hans Thoma, 1868 - Agathe Thoma, the Artist's Sister - fine art print

This painting was painted by Hans Thoma in 1868. The beyond 150 year old original had the dimensions: 62,5 x 79 cm - frame dimensions: 86 x 102 x 7 cm and was painted with the techinque of oil on canvas, mounted on cardboard. The original artwork was inscribed with the text: signed upper right: Hans Thoma. Nowadays, this artwork forms part of the digital collection of Belvedere, which is one of Europe's most famous museums with three locations that blends the experience of architecture and art in a unique way. This artpiece, which is in the public domain is included with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 3659. : purchase from art dealer Karl Haberstock, Berlin in 1939. Moreover, alignment of the digital reproduction is landscape with a side ratio of 4 : 3, which implies that the length is 33% longer than the width. The painter, university teacher Hans Thoma was an artist from Germany, whose art style can be attributed primarily to Realism. The European artist was born in 1839 in Bernau and passed away at the age of 85 in 1924.
