When Nicolás Enríquez painted this copy of the Virigin of Guadalupe in 1773, it was the most widely venerated sacred image in New Spain. Here, the miraculous image is encircled by four scenes that attest to its divine origin. They record the Virgin’s three appearances to the Indian Juan Diego at Tepeyac, near Mexico City, and culminate in the revelation of her image imprinted on his cloak. An inscription reveals that this copy was sanctified by contact with the original in 1789, sixteen years after it was painted and four years after its owner returned to Spain.

Available materials

In the product dropdown menu you can select your individual material and size. We allow yout to choose among the following variants:

  • The poster print (canvas material): The poster print is a UV printed sheet of flat canvas with a slightly rough surface finish. Please note, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the print, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with an outstanding depth. The non-reflective surface creates a modern look. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your perfect start to art reproductions produced on aluminum. For the Aluminium Dibond option, we print your selected artpiece on the aluminium surface. The print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is a truly stylish way to showcase fine art reproductions, because it draws focus on the artwork.
  • Acrylic glass print: An acrylic glass print, often referred to as a print on plexiglass, makes your favorite artwork into beautiful décor. The major benefit of a plexiglass art print is that contrasts and smaller color details become more recognizeable thanks to the fine tonal gradation. The real glass coating protects your custom art replica against sunlight and external influences for many decades.
  • Canvas: A UV printed canvas mounted on a wooden frame. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy and straightforward to hang up the Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. Therefore, a canvas print is suited for any type of wall.
